SR, I haven't stayed at the LPM but I have stayed across the street. Trust me, you are so close to Times Square that it is about a minute walk but will be glad you didn't stay in Times Square.

SR, you shouldn't just take my word for it that they won't put a third bed in the room. That's what they told me when I asked but that was over a year ago and the policy may have changed since then. On the other hand, if two rooms are within your budget, it would obviously be more comfortable. Whether the extra comfort is worth the price I can't answer. You can have lots of great meals for the money you'd save by sharing a room. But the meals might be more pleasant if you're all well rested and you aren't getting on each other's nerves from sharing a room. I've done it both ways.
