Calamari, We got back and we loved Le Parker Meridien! First, it is a great location. We were close enough to walk many places, and the subway is a very short walk, although we ended up using taxis when we got very tired and on the day it rained. I loved the style of the hotel. The hotel is exactly as it appears on the web site. The suite was comfortable with enough room for the three of us. The bed was very comfortable and my daughter was happy on the fold-out couch. The bathroom was also very nice with a very long counter, a lovely shower, and great water pressure. We really liked the task lighting, especially since we read to fall asleep. There is a small refrigerator, but it has a sensor and adds charges even if you just touch items, although it is easy to have the charges removed. I wouldn't let it stop me from using it. The pool was fun and had a great view of the city. One more thing - We couldn't get the heater to work. We only needed it one chilly night since the temperatures were pleasant. Our last day was 75 degrees! We spent it mostly in Central Park, although we did some shopping as well. You'll love walking in Central Park with your dog. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Norma's was delicious although pricey, $120 for three. There is a nice cafe on the corner down the street, Europa Cafe, for when you are very tired. Starbucks is across the street, but there is a coffee/snack stand in the lobby.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I can give you a first-timer's view, since I too was a first-timer.
