LAX **where to park 16 days

Any suggestions as to where we can park our car at LA airport for 16 days that won't require a bank loan?
Thanks,
Joan

My stock answer is "Lot B"-- 111th and La Ciénega. $8 per day and a shuttle to the terminal, most major CCs accepted. Not a covered lot, however.

I found this, however:

If you use Google with keywords "LAX" "parking" "long term" "cheap", you will get quite a few hits, like the one above. Note also that a lot of parking garages around LAX have AAA rates. Good luck!

Hi desertjoan,

I live in Fresno and fly out of LAX. For me it's cheaper and easier to rent a car one-way. and do the reverse on the return.

It feels strange knowing your car(s) are sitting in the garage but if you do the math it's cheaper to rent.

If you join Marriott's rewards club (no charge) many Marriott properties will let you park at the hotel for $50. We did it for 18 days last summer in Chicago. Then you take the hotel shuttle to/from the sirport.

We live in San Diego and we also have found it to be MUCH cheaper to rent a car to drive back and forth to LAX, rather than to pay a long-term parking fee. Also, we'd rather not have our car hanging around a public lot for days or weeks at a time.

You might consider staying at an a/p hotel the night before your flight, many have free parking for up to two weeks. I know the Hacienda does as well as The Furama. Both have shuttles to the airport.

There are Hertz and Avis local locations all over, if there's one near you I'd recommend it. We paid $32 each way to rent a car recently and it was quick and easy drop off.
Other than that on a 16 day trip I think I'd stay at the Hacienda Hotel just south of LAX on their extended park-n-fly deal.

If you live in the LA area, why not have SuperShuttle pick you up and drop you off at home? It will probably be cheaper and whole lot less stressful.

Another choice is park-n-fly hotels which are great for early morning flights. We have used the Hacienda Hotel which charges $90-105 / night and it includes 10 nights parking, the hotel shuttle takes you to and from the airport. Hotel is very basic, but upgrading.
