LAX Hacienda Hotel reborn, Part I

LAX Hacienda Hotel reborn, Part I
For those who used the Hacienda Hotel near LAX for overnight or short stays...
The hotel was closed in 2014, and it was announced that the property would be divided into two unrelated hotels. Renovations have been on-going but slow; however, the smaller of the two hotels is now open.
Aloft Hotel (part of the Starwood group) offers standard rooms and suites. Standard rooms sleep up to 4 adults, but suites sleep only 3 people. Nice lobby/public space and bar, a pool, a gym, pet friendly. Lowest rates are now well over $200 for mid-week nights (adios, Hacienda!) but can be under $200 on some weekends. They offer a very good park & fly package.

The other hotel will be a Fairfield Inn & Suites after renovations. They've taken down the sign with the opening date, and it looks to be a long way from finished.
Bonus: There's a new In 'n' Out Burger across the street, although The Habit (my personal favorite burger joint) and Five Guys Burgers are just a block away.
