Late dinner after Conan/Broadway
My friend and I are going to New York next month and going our separate ways for an evening (weeknight). She's going to see Wicked while I see Conan's show at Radio City Music Hall. We'd like to meet up afterwards for a late dinner. Thinking mid-range ($20-$25-ish for an entree). Good food and a nice atmosphere are what we're hoping for. Chez Josephine's looks interesting but I think it might be a little further away than we'd like. I'm guessing it would be a 20 minute walk - does that sound about right?
The Conan show probably won't get out until 11pm or so. We don't want to stray too far from the area - 10 min walk or so. I know many restaurants close at midnight so we'll be cutting it close as it is. Please let me know any recommendations you have! Do you think reservations are needed?

Here's one option. The kitchen is open until 1am.

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely check out starr's recommendation as well as menupages.com.
I saw Angus McIndoe Restaurant mentioned in another thread. It's open a little later, so we wouldn't feel as rushed. Can anyone recommend? Also, there's an after 10pm snack menu - does anyone know if this means we can't order off the regular dinner menu?
We're staying on W 58th between 6th and 7th Ave.

I have to give credit to LowCountryIslander. She's the one that "found" the Divine Bar and recommended it here. I followed in her footsteps and loved it. It's perfect for a quick drink and appetizer downstairs at the bar, or a full meal upstairs. The location is GREAT and would be easy for your meetup. It's the first thing I thought of for a rendezvous and the kitchen IS open late.
I have a couple of other ideas but neither are as convenient for those two locations - and I just like the vibe at the Divine Bar.

I agree with Howard. Angus McIndoe is just ok, but it's totally in the wrong direction for you anyway. Radio City is about 51 st., your hotel is 58th. You want to be somewhere either inbetween the 2 or closer to 58th st. Trattoria Dell 'Arte is another idea. It's Italian and they have good thin crust pizza and a wide range of antipasto choices. They close at 11:30.

if you decide at the last minute to do casual bar food faces and names is pretty decent.
