Las Vegas Restaurants

Whatis your favorite moderate to low cost restaurant in Las Vegas? You always hear of the expensive restaurants, but where is a good place to dine that is not a buffet?

In the above post, the first 3 suggestions are probably not your idea of moderate to low cost. I've been to all 3 and they are at least $50 pp for dinner. Ate lunch at Mon Ami Gabi and the check was $100 for 2.

julie, Mike is correct. SA's posted suggestions are high end restaurants although they are often noted as very good.

I love Bertolini's in Ceasars Forum. Been there for lunch and many dinners. Always good and great atmosphere.

I just had lunch at Mon Ami Gabi in April and our check came out to $40 before tip. We even had a bloody mary each. Not bad.
**BTW, the best bloody mary's in town are at Commander's Palace @ Alladin. Not a bad brunch either.

Expensive? Inexpensive? It's all subjective I guess.

Mon Ami Gabi is great for lunch, and there are entree items at under $10.

Try the ribs at the Holy Cow Brewery. It is right next to the Sahara.

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris-Las Vegas is great! And, if you are not filled by the good food served there, check out La Creperie (freshly made crepes filled with whatever you want for $4.95) or La Patisserie (pastries and such) for dessert inside Paris-Las Vegas!

Our favorite low cost place that is not in a casino but is a local hang out is Battista's (actually Battista's Hole in the Wall). All meals include bread, salad and UNLIMITED, red and white wine (that's the money saver for us) with a cappucino (sort of) for dessert. The menu is posted up on the wall with the myriad of pics of all of the celebrities that knew the owner and a little old man comes around and plays the accordion at your table. Don't expect award winning wine and the place could even be considered a bit tacky but the food is good and the price is right - maximum is about $25 per person with tip.
And I second the advice for Spago's in Caesar's Palace. We try to get to that place everytime we can.

I am a local here in LV & everyone is recommending "tourist" locations. A terrific restaurant for lunch and/or dinner is a Mex rest. called "DONA MARIA'S" on the strip (north end) but has been around for a long time. Have lived here 12 yrs. and go at least once a month. Another good "local" Italian rest. is called "NORA'S" and it is on Flamingo Rd. If you need more help, feel free to e-mail me and I'll help you out! Have a great day!
