Las Vegas parking

Would like to stop in Vegas for half a day. Can you park on streets? Where are the Public Parking lots? Is it o.k. to park in a hotel parking lot if your not staying over-night?
Thanks

Most, if not all, of the hotels in Las Vegas offer free valet parking. Of course, you would tip the valet. Free self-parking is also available.

The hotels offer free parking because they want you to come in and gamble!

All hotels in Las Vegas have free parking garages, and you don't have to stay in a hotel to park there. There are no public "lots" as you find in most cities. Every hotel has its own garage (though some have outdoor parking).

If you are going now while the weather is cooler, I suggest parking at Flamingo or Caesar's, which are about as centrally located as you get, and then you can see some of the nearby casinos.

If it's just my wife and I, we use self-parking at each hotel/casino. most are under cover and out of the sun.
When we go to Vegas with friends or relatives, I drive to the Casino main entrance ,use the valet and let everyone enter in a grand way.
