Las Vegas: Out for drinks after wedding?

There will be 5 or 6 of us 30+ year olds in Vegas later this month for my sister's wedding. What bars can we go to at night after dinner without outrageous cover/drinks charges? Somewhere with music (doesn't have to be live) but still able to hear each other.

We're staying at the Wynn and the wedding's at the Flamingo waterfalls so we could cab anywhere.

Btw, this is not a super formal wedding so no worries about wearing big wedding/bridemaid's dresses while we're out

After my friends wedding at the Flamingo in September we went to the rooftop bar at the Rio called the VooDoo Lounge. Some people took the free shuttle from Bally's (next to Flamingo) and most of us shared the cheap cab ride.

As long as you arrive before 8pm there was no cover and the views were spectacular. We had drinks and watched the sun set over the city. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere and things got into full swing after 9pm. Everyone raved about it and I would definitely recommend it.

Another thought if that does not sound appealing is to walk over to the outdoor carnival bar at Harrah's. I don't think that they charge cover until the evening (7 or 8) and even so it was only about $5 (very cheap for Vegas). They always have live bands.

Hmm. Quiet and not over-priced in Las Vegas ... hmmmm ....

There is a small outdoor patio bar (and I think an indoor bar) facing the Wynn waterfall. During the day it is quiet with a lovely view; I believe there is music/light show at night. Not extremely cheap, though.

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression--not looking for quiet. I just don't like being somewhere where you literally have to yell to the person next to you to be heard. I still love a good party

I just think that with some places a $20 cover each plus $10 each for drinks is pretty pricey.

Thanks CD for the suggestions-I forgot about the Voodoo and I know exactly what you are talking about at Harrah's--I loved it last time!

Thx!
