Las Vegas, NV trip report

My report will be fairly brief, as it was just 3 nights and much of the time was spent with family (a reunion).
* 1st night at the Orleans. Nice spacious standard room. We really enjoyed the buffet for breakfast, and some 2 for 1 bowling with coupons in their Fun book.
* Spent the afternoon, on the strip (Flamingo and the Mirage), then headed downtown.
* Checked into a nice 2 bedroom suite at the Golden Nugget for 2 nights. Very nice suite.
* Evening was spent with family, making a dinner out of the happy hour fare at the Triple 7 Brew Pub in Main Street Station. Very tasty and reasonable. Also, enjoyed the light show, Fremont Street Experience.
* Sat. brunch with our family at Main Street Station. Good food, though we liked the variety at Orleans buffet better. Though the brunch setting at MSS is very pretty.
* Sat afternoon we went back to our hotel, to swim in the Golden Nugget new pool with shark tank! Very fun and a great way to stay cool on a hot day. Had a late lunch at the Carson Street Cafe there. Very good food.
* Sun evening, headed back to the Triple 7 for more brews and appetizers. Then we went to the Wynn. Beautiful hotel, and my daughter and I would like to stay there sometime. We then went to the Venetian, and had a nice walk through there also. Didn't gamble much, although had a little fun with video poker. My 20 somethings did very well at blackjack.
* Left early Sunday, enjoying our stay in spite of high temps over 100F.

Thanks Faina! Yes, you are are the first to read my report. I am not surprised, LOL. The sharks were in a tank and I swam around them making faces. ;-)

Thanks TahitiTams for the Wynn guestbook tip. I'll sigh up!
Degas- I used cheapovegas.com, lasvegasadvisor.com, vegas.com and also bought the Unofficial guide to Las Vegas 2007. I also looked at the hotel websites.
