So many great places to eat in Las Vegas!
Don't be afraid to rent a car. For the price of one cab ride you can have a car all day.
My favorites: breakfast- Hash House Agogo. Funny name, but a great local place with super large portions , great food, and moderate prices. Located on West Sahara a few miles off the strip. For dinner I have two favorites: Carluchios, located on Tropicana next door to the Liberaci museum. Great local Italian place. Second is Noras Italian Cuisine on Flamingo. If you like good food, you can't go wrong with these. Good luck.

We just got home from Vegas this afternoon. For breakfast, I can recommend the buffet at Flamingo. It's quite a spread, and most of the tables are located by the windows so you can view the waterfalls, Koi fish and flamingos as you eat. They supposedly have a seafood buffet on Friday evenings, not as elaborate as the Rio's, but good on a smaller scale. There's no smoking inside the dining area, so it was a real haven for us. All the casinos were enveloped in smoke, so bad that I couldn't wear my contacs, but that's off topic I guess. Not a buffet, but for a very good meal at a good price, try the Luxe cafe in the Venetian, After dinner, see "Phantom of the Opera" for a treat. Enjoy!
