Las Vegas monorail
We haven't been to Las Vegas for several years. The last time we were there we rode from hotel to hotel on the monorail and I don't remember paying anything. Now, I see on their internet site that the passes are quite expensive. Is there a chart or something showing if any part of this system is free? Thanks. Will be there next month, near the North end of the Strip.

The monorail has no free sections, could you be thinking about the train that runs between Mandalay Bay, The Luxor and Excaliber? That one is free.
There also used to be one that ran from Bellagio to the Monte Carlo, also free. There was also one that connected the Mirage and TI again, free(I can't for the life of me remember if it's still around or not...)
Those are/were on the opposite side of the strip from the LV Monorail.

Other than going to the big Hilton or convention center from the strip, in my book the monorail is pretty worthless. It is miles back from the actual casinos, and simply not worth it to take from casino to casino unless you are riding the full length.

The one between Mirage and TI is there.
No rail between Bellagio and Monte Carlo at this time, as in between the two is the huge City Center construction site.
There are also monorails between terminals at LAS airport.
