Las Vegas Meals for under $10

Las Vegas has some great restaurants, but many are over-budget for some travelers. I've found the San Remo and Hilton's Paradise Cafe to offer pretty good modestly priced dining. Which one do you recommend as the "best" for under $10?

Lucky's at the Hard Rock has a steak and shrimp special that's not on the menu, it was $7.77, might have gone up to $8.99 but still under $10 and one of the best Vegas values.

Harrahs has a $9.99 all you can eat dinner entree special, which includes either Fried chicken, Prime Rib, or Spagetti & meatballs. It includes mashed potatoes and vegatables.

Buffets at the Gold Coast and Palace Station, coffee shops at Barbary Coast, Tropicana and Ballys. Chin Chin Chinese at NYNY. Nick's on the Strip.

Yes, the buffests @ The Gold Coast, especially the breakfast buffet, has to be one of the best deals in LV. Quality and selection is excellent for a breakfast that only costs $4.95 - it costs more to eat breafst at the Dennys on the strip.

Another exxcellent value is the steak dinner @ The Ellis Island casino, which is behind Ballys and diagonal to The Maxim( soon to be reopened as a Westin hotel this summer)on Koval. For #4.99, you get a salad, steak with potatoe and vegatable. You can get one of their own microwbew beers for around $1.50. The steak, considering the price, was very good.

We tried Lucky's on the advice of this column. It was 7.77, but it was not good. For, I think, 8.99 or 7.99, we had a good, char-broiled t-bone at the Gold Coast, that included steak, salad, potato, onion rings & a beer! BEST value ever was the 1.99 burger & fries at the Wild West Casino on Tropicana!

Not to send this thread off on a tangent; but the Maxxim is being redone as a Westin? Does it look to be a total gut rehab? Will it be hotel only or have a casino?
