LAS VEGAS - March vs June
I am beginning to plan a trip for 6 to Las Vegas. We are either wanting to go around Easter Week 2008, or sometime in mid to late June 2008.
I was wondering if anyone had a preference between these two time periods. Also, if one time period would be more apt to have deals on rooms.
Thanks in advance.

Well, March has much nice weather and more conventions. And that translates to a lot higher prices. I imagine Easter week will be very pricey. If you avoid Fri & Sat nights, that should help. Although if there are major conventions going on, it could be still high on the weekdays.

A week ago the temperature in Vegas was up to 100. Are you used to the extreme heat? If not, you don't want to go to Vegas just to sit by the pool. Or maybe you do? We've done it once and no more!
You can pick a less expensive hotel on the Strip and use the bus $5 24-hr pass.
I would go in March as I hate heat.

Agree that in March it can still be quite cool, and also that many of the resort pools may be closed.
A note on Vegas heat: Walking around the Strip can get hot, but all you have to do is duck indoors anywhere for two seconds. Like most touristy destinations, every single place keeps the air conditioning on FREEZING.

I prefer June but I don't walk the strip much - usually hang in the hotel that I am staying in for the most part. June will be hot - likely 90s to 100. March is iffy for pool weather and Easter falls early next year. I have been there in March when it was in the 70s and also when it was in the 50s.
I agree that you should get better deals in June.
