Las Vegas - Ideas for 70th dinner

Hi - Dear MIL is turning 70 and we'll be in Vegas to celebrate with her. Need a great steak house for the big dinner. Must be on the strip (can't stray from the program), have a kids menu (of sorts), and not highly expensive. I heard not so nice things about Mon Ami in the Paris Hotel so even though I didn't cancel my reservation there, people are telling me to go elsewhere. Any ideas???

I've always really liked Mon Ami Gabi.

We had my nephew's wedding dinner at Mon Ami Gabi and it was great. We've eaten there several times and it's always good. Nice atmosphere too.

Last fall we tried out the steak house at Bally's and had an amazing dinner with outstanding service at a not outlandish price.

Have also had a great steak meal at Binions but that is Fremont St.

If memory serves, both the above were about $50-$60 per person.

Conversly I have been to Gallaghers at NYNY, paid big money ($100 pp for me) and thought the whole experience was so-so at best.

I do have friends who love Smith and Wollenskys on the Strip for steak.

For a different experience, see if you can reserve the "Kitchen Table" at Emril's Delmonico Steakhouse in the (forgive my poor spelling)Vencian. Assuming it is still available, you sit in a glass-enclosed room right on the edge of the kitchen. However, it probably doesn't meet your other criteria for kids menu and cost.
Also great steak at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Cesear's.

Mikesmom - thanks so much, I think I'll just leep my reservation there and wing it! Say a prayer she likes it!!!!!

Boom Boom - investigated the kitchen's table at Delmonico. It semmed like something I would absolutely love, but remember who we're trying to please???/ Don't think that will work for us but thanks anyway!
