Las Vegas hotel: THEhotel at Mandalay or Four Seasons?

Attending a conference in November and these are the hotel choices offered at discount rates (paid for by my co.). I usually LOVE the Four Seasons in other cities, but have heard this one has relatively run down rooms and uncomfortable beds. THEhotel is supposed to have very comfy beds and huge, nice rooms, but I've also heard it may be noisy (dance club noise?) and the pool is a pain to use (too crowded, poor service). Unsure if these claims are well-founded - the reviews on Tripadvisor, and here on Fodor's, etc. vary, so I'd love comments from folks here who have stayed at either or both. I don't care about casino crowds but do like decent food and will need to be able to get sleep for business meetings, and do love being pampered (w/ nice rooms, etc.)! Right now I have reservatiosn at both but will need to make a decision soon. Thanks in advance!

Taking a poll, I'd choose 4S.

I've stayed in both. Honestly, youll probably be happy in either. Theyre both part of Mandalay Bay, after all!

Are you in to impeccable service? Then go Four Seasons. When I say impeccable, I mean IMPECCABLE. You will be spoiled.

Are you into trendy, large rooms? Then go to THEHotel. The service sucks IMO, but the rooms are bigger and trendier.

I don't think the pool will be open during your stay anyway. I could be wrong however, but I believe they are usually closed in Nov.
I've heard great things about the Four Seasons on top of MB.

I would choose Mandalay Bay as it's on the strip, though far down the strip. It's a more "Vegas" hotel if you want the Vegas experience.

Just returned from a stay at THE Hotel with DH who was there on business. Beds are VERY comfortable, rooms were quiet except we could occasionally hear noisy vehicles from the road (even on the 32nd floor), but no club noise or noise from neighbors.

The pool is a LONG hike from the room. It is not a relaxing pool since the music is loud. I ended up going to the bar and getting a drink rather than waiting for a server to come around.

The nice thing about the property is that because it is at the end of the strip, the restaurants were not terribly busy. We had great dinners at the China Grill and Red Square. Shanghai Lilly's food wasn't too impressive. Service was excellent at all three.
