Yes, thanks Miku. I'm helping with hotel selection for a family reunion next summer, so this site will come in handy.

My husband and I stayed at the Mirage and we loved the pool area. We were very happy with out choice.

trippinkpj,
If you're planning a family reunion that includes kids, IMHO the pools at Mandalay Bay cannot be beat. A huge wave pool, lazy river, jacuzzis, regular pools, sandy beach, etc. Its great. Of course, you've got lots of good choices in Vegas, but Mandalay also has the Shark Reef exhibit (also great for kids), and has a monorail that goes to Luxor (which has an arcade),and Excalibur.

Also, the travel channel is always showing its Top Ten Vegas Pools special which gives you a great overview of some of the best pools, like the website miku mentioned does.

Do you guys know if the pools are opened in November?

Are they ever closed?

Most pools stay open in November. You may want to check with the hotel first though, hotels often do maintenance and renovation on the pools in winter months, so they do sometimes shut them down.
