Las Vegas comments

Just got back from Vegas, boy they can use a Monorail on Las Vegas Blvd traffic is a nightmare.
Wouldn't want to be there during the weekend, if that's the busy part of the week. Don't think they're hurting for business, the city is packed.
On the positive side, The Bellagio was a great place to stay but the real revelation was The Venetian.
Was so impressed with their version of Venice, truly a wonderful illusion. It was like being in a movie or should I say on a movie set?
Had dinner on "Saint Marks Square" at Canaletto, food was very good and reasonably priced.
The Freemont Street expeience was worth the bus ride to downtown.
If you have only time to see one show in Vegas see "O".
It's marvelous, I'd see it again. Really an incredible work of art.

My understanding is that an increase in monorail service is in the works. But I heard that it has been held up by the issue of who will pay.

I agree about O. The first clue that you are about to see something fantastic is the way the curtains disappear at the opening of the show.

What is the show "O"? Where does it play & where do you get tickets for it. Thanks.

go to www.bellagio.com for "O" tix...it is an upscale circus......well worth it

"Mystere" is a related show at Treasure Island....

Don't miss "Blue Man Group" at the Luxor...I thought it was better than Mystere.

Bill: Agree with Bellagio, top hotel on the strip IMO.

Unfortunately I wasn't at all impress with the "canal" at the Venetian, seemed dark and claustrophobic when we saw it last year. Once you've seen the real thing it is a major disapointment. The lobby on the other hand was quite impressive.

Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Hey Mike & all, Thanks for all your advice.Coming in Sept. Staying at TI. Think I got a good rate of $120.00/ night for a petite mini-suite. Still looking. But held it anyway.
