Las Vegas airport shuttle costs
Hi, We are travelling to Las Vegas in October a family of four), and would like to know if it would be more ecomonical to use the airport shuttle or a taxi to our hotel , which is the Luxor.
While you are at it, would you need at jacket to visit the Grand Canyon at this time -- any idea on what sort of weather to expect in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon ?
Thanks.

Shuttle service to/from airport and the strip costs $3.50 -$4.00 /pp. Las Vegas Limousines offer shuttle service for $4.00 /pp and you get to ride in a limo.
The weather in October is pretty iffy in Las Vegas. Are you talking about early or late October. It can be pretty cool. You will definitely need a jacket for the Grand Canyon area.

Thank you for your suggestions on the airport transfers. The limo service sounds like the way to go !! Do you now (approx) how much a taxi would be ?
We are travelling in early October -- so I guess we will need to cover all contingencies weather wise. Thanks again, have a good day.

I was in Las Vegas 3 weeks ago. Took a taxi from the airport to the Venetian (far end of the strip) and it was about $15.00 with tip. The taxi service line at the LV airport is very organized, it moves fast and the people to assist you are helpful. I checked out of the Venetian and checked into the Four Seasons (closer to the airport) and when I was ready to leave, the cab driver took us way out of the way down the highway away from the airport and circled back around!!! When I questioned him he said it was "faster". He was very strange and almost seemed like he was a serial killer or something!!! I was go glad to get to the airport, I gave him $15 for what should have been about a $7 fare. take the limo, trust me! you can get from one hotel to the other down the strip by way of a monorail system (goes to the Luxor too). Be sure to see the Mandalay Bay Hotel, Bellagio (the gardens inside and dancing water outside at night) as well as the new Paris hotel. Have fun and bet lucky 13 straight up on the roulette wheel for me! PS go to the Rio Hotel for fun (it's where the locals go, as well as the Station House - payout is better off the strip)
