Lancaster, Pa - non-fancy restaurant for Sunday pm

This is for this Sunday, a cold weekend in January: looking for a comfortable restaurant with good food, not too expensive, for a group of unknown number, 5-10 probably. Italian food would be agreeable to all I think, or a local place with character, or a friendly place with decent "bar food."

The kind of place you might go to without much fuss if you live around there.

The group = a variety of people coming to Lancaster to see a rock and roll show at the Music Theatre there.

Any other advice re: a short trip will also be welcome, liek what we might do on Monday before we leave.

There is a really cool place that is in an old stone brewery, you actually go into these underground rooms and take a tour of the old process and this place just has so much character! It is in a very small town called Mount Joy, about 20 minutes from that music theatre...

I go to lancaster county all the time, Bube's brewery is in Mt. Joy,PA- I have been there and walked out hated it- very creepy. However, I wouldm highly recommend the By George Tavern(I think its still called that), in The Netherlands resort. It used to be the Strasburgn Inn....same palce different name, new owners. They have what you are looking for and they also have the best pub food, steaks, burgers crab cakes...etc at reasonable prices. There is also nice bar and a sitting area...leather couches and tables...mush like a living room in a pub - very nice! Take a look www.historicstrasburginn.com

Thanks everyone!!! both places sound interesting, I'm printing this out.
(With this blizzard I wonder if I'll get there, and I also wonder if Jerry Lee Lewis will get there from Memphis. So far no news of a cancellation - but I may have nothing to do BUT eat so it's nice to be well-prepared.)
