If I am not mistaken I stayed there on my honeymoon 50 years ago...no kidding. I notice that it isn't listed in AAA anymore. I certainly can't tell you what it is like now, but, if this is the place, it was in a good location....no views, however. It was quaint then. I assume you have tried Trip Advisor?

We stayed in Carmel on our Honeymoon many years ago at a place called The Jade Tree Inn. It was Japanese in design with fireplaces, and a girl in a Kimono, brought breakfast up on a tray.
I just tried looking it up, after the mention of old places, and it does not come up. Does anyone know if it was renamed or torn down? It was almost 40 years ago.

Tonscamo,
Thank you for the heads up. I looked in my Wedding scrapbook and saw it was a Best Western then, also, located on Junipero. It is the BW Carmel Bay View Inn, now! Checked out their website, and it's the same place, but now has 80's country furniture decor. Not as impressive as it was then.
Thanks, always fun to find out a place is still around.
xene97, sorry to post on your thread. I know The Lamp Lighter Inn is in the Karen Brown guide. We use her suggestions, and they are top notch.
