I agree with the view at the Ritz-Carlton. If you have a car and don't mind a little drive, brunch or lunch at Ramos house in San Juan Capistrano is quite special. A high end splurge steak dinner is Mastro's Steak House near the South Coast plaza mall. I would just eat at the bar and order their amazing appetizers and make a meal of it. They had a great piano player when I was there. A very swanky Sinatra New York kinda scene.
