We have stayed twice with our two yr old grandson at this B&B in Breaux Bridge when we make our trips to Tyler. One visit we had 4 generations and took the barn too. The house is fantastic for a family and breakfast is oh so good. Large yard, pier, dog etc. As Bayougirl suggested do Cafe des Ami. You can go early with the child and they are kid friendly, We did not like Mulates food!
Stop in Fairhope while you visit GS

About 40 min. from GS. A great downtown with cute stores and good restaurants especially for lunch. The site doesn't show well enough all the flower beds at each intersection. A nice daytrip from Fort Morgan Rd. Is your 3 yr a Thomas the train fan?. There is a train ride in the area.

Fairhope is beautiful, so neat & clean. We love that area--it's one of the areas we are considering for retirement. Hope you get the chance see that area. You can drive through Fairhope on your way to/from Gulf Shores. It's a much prettier drive than going due south to Gulf Shores from I-10.
