LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Will be flying in to Boise on the saturday of Labor Day weekend. Then will head to Oregon on Labor Day. Will eventually get to the coast and my question is, will there be plenty of lodging available on the coast after Labor Day or will I need to get reservations?

I live in Portland, and have never gone to the coast without making a reservation. Well, except for that one night years ago when I somehow found myself at the Bungalow City Motel in Seaside at 1:30am.....

Where on the coast are you planning to go? And what kind of lodging would you be looking for? Most north coast towns consider the entire month of September "high season" which I think would be an indication of demand.

By the way, you'll get more responsese if you include your destination in the thread title.

During the week you will most likely be ok. But if you are here on a weekend, you definitely want reservations. September is usually great weather for us so many people take advantage of the weekends on the coast and places fill up. I would make reservations now though just to secure a place I would want to stay. Do you have any specific towns or area of the coast in mind?
