LA restaurant help

Staying in Beverly Hills with my two kids, 8 and 10. What are the best restaurants in terms of food quality, ambiance, and uniqueness ( I don't want to feel I am at a swanky restaurant in any city) that would not be awkward with kids?! They are used to fancy restaurants but at the same time they will be on a 3 hr time change after busy days. I don't even want to type this for fear of judgement, but is there a great place I could enjoy with my husband, that would keep the kids entertained/not heard with the noise level and ambiance....and not be kicked out if an iPad was watched discreetly without sound during the after dinner drinks? Budget not an issue.

Kids watching iPads and phones are ubiquitous, so no worries about that.

Look at Ocean Prime at the corner of Wilshire and Camden and ask for a table outside (there are heaters). Inside is ok but formal-ish, outside is more interesting. Expensive, but not too bad at lunch.

Avra on Beverly Drive just north of Wilshire. Seafood and lots of Greek dishes, beautiful room, expensive...

Piccolo Paradiso on Beverly just south of Wilshire. Piccolo indeed. Good Italian food at reasonable prices. Open M-F for lunch, every day for dinner.

The Terrace at the Maybourne Hotel . Tables are well-spaced and there are a couple that are sort of off to the sides by themselves. Request "quiet table off to the side" when you make your reservation.

Take advantage of the kids waking up early due to the time change and get an early start/early breakfast daily. Then you'll be primed for earlier dinners when the restaurants aren't as busy.

Also Honor Bar has great food and 3 big round family booths in the back where you'll have nobody behind you, they're set against the wall. Just request "round booth in the back". I'm not sure that they take reservations, though.

Honor Bar's current menu is pretty limited, so check that in light of your family's preferences. I haven't been there since well before the pandemic (and then only for lunch), but their website indicates they don't particularly like parties larger than two. Weird.

I like the Maybourne's terrace area, but it can feel a bit like sitting in a wind tunnel under some weather conditions. Perfect for a warm summer night, but if it's windy or cold-ish, I'd go somewhere else.

Waldorf Astoria is one of the finest hotels in Beverly Hills. where you can explore all of your needs in one place. this place has some unique style to serve their guests might you went like it. I visited this places before the pandemic one of the best experiences I got from this place.

How about a fun and colorful spot with a ton of history in West Hollywood (about 15-20 minute drive from Beverly Hills). "I’m confident there’s not another restaurant in the world where John Wayne cooked eggs one morning in its kitchen after passing out the night before, Ava Gardner danced in the aisles, Elvis sipped a mai tai or two, Bogie sat at the bar and a couple of notorious mobsters conducted “business dealings” in their own private booths." Maybe you could get seated in one of their cool booths or in the train car. The restaurant is awash in red, and the food is pretty darned good, too. Say hi to Bugsy for me. Link to our night at Formosa Cafe below (lots of photos)

I haven't been to Barton G, and reviews wouldn't tempt me. Although food, decor and service get mostly raves, the ambiance is described as "deafening," "crowded," "tiny tables" which are instant vetoes for me. From the reviews, it's apparently popular for children's birthdays. Another reason for a veto from me.

It's next door to Nobu, so parking could be a problem.
