I'm putting in a vote for Giordanos. One pizza will serve a bunch, and it's got a casual atmosphere without being crazy, and it's not a chain.
Plus, it's delicious. Sad about Ginos, though.

Just wanted to report back - the 11 of us spent Labor Day weekend in Chicago. The Hampton Inn and Suites was a great value - there were some issues like the noise of the fire station on the next block and housekeeping not getting to the rooms to make them up until 5 PM but I still highly recommend this hotel.
As for the subject of this post, we ate out Saturday and Sunday nights. We decided that for 11 people, we needed places that would accept reservations which pretty much ruled out any place that served pizza However, the two places we did go to were fantastic - Boston Blackies (hamburgers) on Saturday night and Lalo's (Mexican) on Sunday night. The burgers at Boston Blackies were huge and cooked perfectly. With a couple of us splitting entre's, the total bill for 11 people came to less than $90 - amazing. Lalo's was more expensive but loads of fun - the kids loved it when the Maharichi band seranaded them with the "Chicken Dance" while the adults (the baby-boomers, at least) enjoyed a terrific rendition of Santana's "Oye Como Va" complete with a Mexican ukelele solo that blew us away. Thanks again for all of your recommendations.
