Keys/Key West Hotels

My wife and I are tent planning to fly to Key West for Labor day. Only have 4-5 days. Been to the KW once, was recently at Isla Morada. I like the quiet of the Keys, but know my wife would like a few days of the bustle of KW.

I can get a few free nights in KW at the Hilton (not sunkey) or Courtyard Waterfront, or Courtyard by Sea...neither of which I can find much info on.
Any recommendations on the above.

Then I'd like to move (not too far) to something more laid back for a few days. Does anything in KW other than Sunkey resemble that? Or whats the nearest key and a great place to stay for a few nights?

thx

There are very few hotels near but not on Key West. If you want laid back, I heartily recommend Parmer's Place (with a website of the same name) on Little Torch Key, about 28 miles north of Key West. We live in Florida and rarely stay IN Key West anymore as the hotels have gotten outrageously priced and we get tired of the constant noise and party. Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Courtyard Hotels you mention in Key West.

I spend a lot of time in Key West and have never heard of the Courtyard hotels to which you refer. Where are they? If you can stay free at the Hilton, by all means do. It's in a perfect location. And Sunkey? Do you mean Sunset Key? The Hilton has cottages there but unless you get a water view you may as well stay in Key West.
