Key West Sheraton

The Sheraton Suites are on the Atlantic side of Key West while all the sunset celebrations and most of the restaurants and tourist activities are on the Gulf side. The beauty of Key West is that if you stay in Old Town, everything will be within close walking distance. If you stay at the Sheraton Suites you'll either need to rent bikes or mopeds or take a shuttle.

I agree with susan and have stayed all over Key West...the experience of KW demands that you stay at a small hotel or B&B. My favorites include the Gardens Hotel and the Marquesa House. One step down in price is the Chelsea House. The Sheraton was pleasant but far from the real action of Duval St. and the Sunset pier. This time, stay away from the chain hotels and you won't go wrong with any of the above three.

We stayed at the Sheraton Suites this past February and loved it. The staff was very courteous and the suites were large. It's away from all the action in Old Town, but only about a 10 minute bike ride away. They also have a shuttle that leaves every hour, if you don't have a car. Also, Smathers Beach is across the street. We plan to stay there again next year.
