key west restaurants mid-range pricing

Husband and I are headed to Key West for a week. We will be searching for restaurants that are mid range in price with a step beyond the normal fare.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

El Siboney has wonderful Cuban food and is in the low price range (it's a little tricky to find, though). Sarabeth's on Simonton has mid price range food and great brunches and dinners.

There are several restaurants around Key West bight with good prices: Alonzo's Oyster Bar, Half Shell Raw Bar, Conch Republic, and some like Schooner Wharf Bar, but we stick with drinks there and steer clear of the food.

B.O.s is just behind that area and has good fish sandwiches.

For additional options, check out

As a very general rule, the places that serve higher end food (New American, for example) don't come cheap. The places that serve local specialties (Cuban, conch chowder, grouperburgers, etc) are inexpensive.

I don't know if you'd consider it "mid-range" or not but if you get a chance - go to Hot Tin Roof at the Ocean Key Resort. We absolutely LOVED this place! Great food, great view and wonderful service! The Yellowtail Snapper was excellent and try the mac & chs!!

Seven Fish - sort of off the beaten path in a neighborhood - google them, they have a website with map.
