Key West for a day

Impossible task here folks, but please help.... Going to see Jimmy Buffett in West Palm Beach. Spending the day before (and night too) in Key West.....

What is the best restaurant, bars, sights, etc. for a 1-day 24 hour adventure???

Thanks

1) Take the Conch Train Tour
2) Walk down Duvall Street and see the shops. (Stop in at Fast Freddie's)
3)Visit Hemmingway's house
4) Rent bikes and ride to "Southern Most Point" bouy and around marina and along Atlantic Boulevard. Just ride on all the streets that form the perimeter around Key West.
5) Breakfast at Pepe's
6) Lunch at Blue Heaven
7)Dinner at Louie's Backyard (get reservations!) or Mangia,Mangia or Cafe de Artist or Mangoes. All great.
8)Go to Margarita Store on Duvall Street. Have a cheeseburger and a margarita just to say you did it.
9) Visit Key West Cemetery. " I told you I was sick"
10) Capt.Tony's. The ORIGINAL Sloppy Joe's. Hemmingway hang out.
11) Mallory Square at sunset. Get there early to see the crazy locals perform

Key West is gay friendly. Straight friendly and eccentric friendly. Go with an open mind to everything and you'll have a great time.

P.S. Go to top floor of the Holiday Inn in the middle of town on Duvall Street. The observation level offers a great view of all of Key West.

Charlie's response was great. Want to encourage you to do a couple of the things he mentioned. The tour of Hemingway's house is fantastic...ancestors of his 6 toed cats still rule the roost. We loved it!
Also...hope you don't miss Blue Heaven. That was the best food and atmosphere we had there, beating the far more expensive (bordering on stuffy?) Louie's Backyard. We walked down to it and began to worry that we shouldn't be there, but pushed on and what a great adventure it was. We shared our al fresco dining experience with a few resident cats and roosters...neither of which minded the other. What a find--know it probably doesn't sound it, but if you're a Buffett fan, I think you'll like it too. It'd be his kind of place!

Yes. Charlie's answer almost said it all. But I would like to add the Green Turtle to the list of bars to visit. Walk down Duvall Street at night if you can. It's quite interesting. Sort of a cross between Mardi Gras and Charleston, SC.

Hog's Breath Saloon ! The Conch Train was good 30 years ago but a lot of the route is so built up now. The sunset scene is a good time.
