Key West/Florida Keys with Toddlers

Hello all,

Going to Key West in July. We have a 2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old that will be with us.

Any toddler related activity ideas in the Keys?

I have been to Key West before and realize that is more adult oriented, but I would like to hear your thoughts anyway.

Thanks all.

Cheeca Lodge, Islamorada
Hawks Key, around Marathon.

Can't think of any good places in Key West for toddlers. I'd go with a resort that has kitchens in room and a good pool.

Most B&B's discourage children under 12.

Thanks GoTravel. We rented a private home with a pool for our stay.

I was looking for some toddler type activities like the beach, Hemingway House(just for the cats, lol), etc.

Any more ideas?

The beach at Ft. Zachary Taylor park would be good for toddlers.Nice sandy beach and calm water. Snack bar and changing facilities are right there. You can also rent chairs.
I can't remember the name of it, but at the end of Duval St. on the Atlantic side there is a nice indoor Butterfly gardens.
Also, bring them to lunch at Ricks Blue Heaven and sit outside.Food is great and they would love watching the chickens walking around under their table.

When our dd was 2, she loved the Key West Aquarium and the touch tank. We also walked all over the place and pushed her in her stroller. I miss those days. #39;( . The older they get the more demanding....
