They close a little earlier like most any other town or city. Was there something specific you wanted to know about?

a surprising amount of restaurants are closed on SUnday. It didn't seem like any of the bars were, though.

Sunday is still a very big day for the town. Much of our business is Fri - Mon so you really won't find to many places closed on Sunday unless it is off season and some go on vacation for a few weeks. Many restaurants, if they choose to close for a day, close on a Tues or Wed. I don't think the bars ever take a day off.

Open or closed, if you can stay in Key West on Sunday evening you will save yourself the driving nightmare. Driving out of the Keys on Sunday evening is long, tiresome and dangerous for a few unfortunates, who are car wreck victims. Stay put and enjoy the sunset.

don't you love the way people ask a minimal question then get snippy if you don't give them the answer they want?

I don't think you will find anything closed on Sunday in Key West; as the weekends are their busiest days.

To repeat - I was just there in MArch, and most of the restaurants I wanted to go to were closed on Sunday. All the bars seemed to be open, though.

If you're accustoemd to the restaurant schedules often availabel in larger cities such s NYC, you may find the restaurants to close early even on weeknights. I arrive on my last trip at 10:00 PM and by the time I got to Duval street 15 minutes later. there was little availabel except pizza or fast fod. I did find one place, Willie T's, that serves late - food was not great (but was okay) but they had good live music and great people watching from the outdoor tables. What really surprsied me was the fact that none of the places serving breakfast (except Denny's) were open early. On Sundays at least, don't look for breakfast before 8:00 AM as no one is open (or so it appears).

Charles what was closed? I go to Key West all the time and have never seen anything closed on Sunday expect when they go on vacation like mentioned above. Owen, Blue Heaven, Pier House Bistro, Harpoon Harry's, all open before 8am. I am sure there are more but these are the only ones I remember off hand.
