I just wanted to mention that the Poker Run is on that weekend in Key West. When I was calling around to hotels yesterday, all made mention of that fact. Don't know if that is an issue with you or not, but I was told it was very busy and loud.
Just wanted to give you a heads up!

Can I assume that it would be on Saturday and/or early Sunday, with the majority of these folks leaving on Sunday? We will arrive on Sunday afternoon, and be there through Wednesday morning.

BTW, did they say what exactly the Poker Run is?

Sorry I didnt ask how long it would last. They were more concerned with telling me to leave on Saturday. I dont know if it is just a weekend thing or not.
As the above poster said, I was told it be tons of motorcycles, roaring around town!
You may want to check with your hotel or the Key West chamber of commerce or something like that. One of the things we were thinking about was driving back on Saturday, going "against" the stream of bikers on the roads, how busy would it be?

One aspect of traveling that we enjoy is the interesting people that we meet. If W. is on this site, that's one thing that we already have in common. Nothing wrong with meeting someone for a drink and conversation while enjoying our leisure time, is there?
