Key Largo Family trip
Hi. We are planning a multi generation family getaway to celebrate moms 90 birthday. Traveling will be various ages--parents in 90's, adults in 50's and then range from teens to twenties. Going in January for 3-4 nights.
We are considering Key Largo as it's an easy drive from my parents in Ft Lauderdale. We enjoy fishing, hiking and dining. But also need to make sure my parents can hangout at resort with minimal walking to pool or ocean. Seems Key Largo fits.
We are considering the Marriot. Would like to know from anyone that's visited if Key Largo is a good spot. And any hotel, restaurant or activity suggestions. We also want to go on a fishing charter so any reputable recommendations.
Thank you!

This is a wonderful small walk and if it is too much for the older ones they can turn around and go back to the car at any time as the parking lot is right by the trail.
Personally, I would rather stay in Islamorada, it is just another 1/2 hr down the Keys. I just think it has more of a topical feel and then those that want could visit Bahia Honda for kayaking or snorkeling. http://bahiahondapark.com/
Of course there is John Pennecamp State Park close to Key Largo. Enjoy!

We stayed in Key West so I cannot with authority offer hotel suggestions, I would check this out: http://www.tripadvisor.com/SmartDeal...tel-Deals.html I would just check to make sure anything you choose has an elevator, I think some do not and would not be good for your older family.
