Heidi,I didn't mean to mislead you. I don't have Mia. She was rescued by the same lady who rescued our Rocket Dog. I wish I could take her, but we are at capacity here. Maybe someone will see her and lose their heart to her.

I didn't read through this thread, but the title caught my eye. I would suggest NOT giving your dog Robitussin DM, which will help control the cough. There are other cough meds avaiable from the vet with less risk of dangerious side effects. See this thread (long story) for background re why I'd avoid the Robitussin DM from now on: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...2&tid=34684696

Also you might get some suggestions on DogPark: http://forums.about.com/n/pfx/forum....Reading+%3E%3E A few of the posters there are vet techs and many (most) who are not are nevertheless pretty serious about dog care.

Thanks Cmt. I personally would never take Robitussin so I'm definitely not giving it to my dog! (too many hard to pronounce ingredients!) Sorry you had such a difficult time with your dog. Thanks for the links.
My dog has been sleeping most of the day so far and seems to be coughing less. I think the mullein is already starting to work. Thank goodness. Maybe I'll get some sleep tonight.
