KENNEDY SPACE CENTER WITH A 3 YO -- IS THERE STUFF TO DO
Our 3 1/2 yo is obsessed with rockets and spaceships. We are going to be fairly close to the Kennedy Space Center in November and are wondering what, if any activities there might be in the surrounding area. Is a day trip doable or should we stay overnight (assuming a 2 hr. drive each way)?

I think a 3 yo would enjoy it. You'll have to help explain and play. I think a 4 hour trip in the car wouldn't be best on top of a full day but if your child sleeps in the car then driving 2 hours after would work, then you would only have to stay overnight once.....

I'm not a parent of a small kid .. and unlike SaraLM, I don't think a kid that young would really appreciate it very much ... and it's not inexpensive either - about $25 each for adults. I seem to recall some other space-related things in the area (but not exactly what) that might be just as exciting for your "young'un", who will enjoy it (KSC) in a few more years.

thanks for your replies. owing to the fact that we've already got a hotel in south florida, and that he's three, i think we're going to pass on kennedy this year, and do some kid things in the miami area. thanks again!
