We stayed there about a year or two ago, it was very nice, we had a pool-view room, not much to do in the evening around the place - very little night life, if your room has the jacuzzi on the patio, they looked great and had the best sunset views too. The Japanese restaurant was very good, the personnel were excellent and the rooms comfortable and large. Enjoy

I stayed there in September & loved it. There's a great beach & a decent restaurant on their boardwalk. It's a very quiet hotel w/ a great relaxed layout. There are 2 pools, tennis courts, library, fitness room, & playroom/lounge to hang out in the evening. Roy's is down the street as is the Hyatt. Have fun!

I was also wondering about the Sheraton. We are going sometime the last two weeks of Feb. 2001. I have heard the ocean view rooms are nice. Can anyone tell me more about the ocean view or ocean front rooms? Prefer ocean front. Thanks for any help. We have stayed on north end the other three times we were there and thought for whale season we would try the south end. Anyone stayed there and seen whales from their lanai? Thanks.

Aloha, We were over there
Dec '99/Jan '00 and spent some time at the beach next to the Sheraton as well as hitting their bar to watch a few sunsets. Nice place and nice beach.
We also saw whales. This was our 9th trip over and other than being in boat, this was the closest we've ever seen them to shore. Beautiful!
You also have Keoki's and Joe's nearby.
The hula pie @ Keoki's is deadly!
You're also a mile or 2 away from the Beach House restaurant.

I just got back on 07/14/00 and had a wonderful time. We had a ocean front room that was a basic room with a beautiful view. If I had it to do over again I would have been more specific on the room. They have 2 types of ocean front rooms (1)ocean and (2)beach. Ocean faces south and some face more southwest. So when you look out you have waves breaking up against lava rocks with no sand, but beautiful sunsets. With beach you face south and some southeast but are blocked from the west due to the resaurants at the Sheraton. So with the beach room you are overlooking the Poipu beach area and the swimming pool at the resort and the rooms looked a little more upscale. So if you are into people watching and just an absolute view of the beach,(2) beach ocean front is for you. Just my opinion.
