Kauai/Poipu Construction

We have reservations for Jan. 2009 at the Regency section of Poipu Kai. Can anyone tell us if we might be encountering consturction noise in that area?

I stumbled on a web site for construction projects in Hawaii. I don't know how often it is updated, but it was accurate for our trip to the islands last month.

The current construction ends just before the Brennecke's beach turnoff, so no problem there. Since the area's construction will be ongoing for quite some time, and just since it is much faster, you might want to use the bypass road to get in and out.

Here's a link to the Google Map showing the bypass road.

Actual name is Ala Kinoiki, but if you ask a local abou tit by that name, they won't know what you're talking about. Just call it the bypass road.
