Kauai - north shore weather in May
My sister is planning to get married in Kauai in May 2007 and I suggested the Princeville/Hanalei area, but she is leaning towards the Poipu area, because of the weather. Any experience with the weather in the North Shore in May? I was there in late August.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Let me look into my weather crystal ball...nah, nah -- just kidding!
I'm always surprised when visitors assume "northshore is rainy; elsewhere is sunny". True sometimes, but not always. Yesterday for example, Lihu`e & Kapa`a were _pounded_ with rain in the late afternoon -- while those of us in Princeville/Hanalei basked in all-day sun. Go figgah! And it's not at all unusual for our northshore to be sunny, while Po`ipu/Koloa have torrential rain. One just never knows...
Anyway, May is one of the most delightful weather-months throughout Hawai`i. Can't make a no-rain promise for any part of Kaua`i...but can guarantee that the northshore will always offer the lush, tropical vistas for which most island visitors yearn.
