Maybe I am just a wannabe. The story of my life...never one of the in crowd! Ha! How do you know if you "officially" a member...what is the vetting process? I have not paid my servants taxes and I thought the livery service was just a perk of being me!

Bill, did someone call me a name? I guess I missed it, but at least I feel acknowledged!

I cheated on Kauai in October...tried out the Kahala on Oahu...wish we had done Kauai.
Our 30 year anniversary is in September and DH is lobbying for a beach location so maybe I can reinstate my K9 membership!

Hey, Iceeu2:

Will be in Kauai 5/20 for 7 nights. Staying at a condo at Hanalei Bay Resort.

Just ordered Kauai Revealed from Amazon. Will need to be conservative in food, etc. What do you recommend. Condo is $1700 for a week including tax and cleaning.

Need to do some snorkeling, a helicopter tour and a few splurge dining.

Mostly just looking forward to sitting on the balcony, loving up my hubby of 40 years, etc.

Can't wait!!

hey cheryl, let's stay in touch ok? We will be on the north shore until the 22nd. Then we are off to the south for 4 more nights...

You can get lots of good dining advice here and on tripadvisor.com
Tripadvisor has a very active Hawaii forum with lots of locals who give great advice.

Hey K9's, you're slipping....
a big, long thread like this, with numerous mentions of the sundry and assorted pestilences of that hellhole, Kauai, and not even one mention of those magnificent man-eating mosquitoes.
What happened, did the VOG drift over from Kilauea and gas them?
(I haven't been over since '05 - its soon time to get back there!)

Aaaawwwww. Mahalo for sharing the pics Kal... warms me up on this frigid 2 degree day in IL. yuk!

AND don't tell me how warm it is in your neck of the woods, cause I just don't want to know! Can you tell the cold is makin me Kranky?

So billyboyq when I re-read your trip report for the other hellhole, it gave me a much needed jolt of laughter! O the sight of you and Marteen bickering in your seats while you awaited the fate of that bottled water in the crapper flight was exactly what I needed!

Aloha and mahalo y'all!

I don't want to gloat mak, but we woke up to a crisp 6 degrees. It is now a toasty 12 degrees - feels like negative 6.

Reply to sistahlou, look on the side, with this kinda cold, you won't have to worry about those killer bees > swarming in your 'hood any time soon.
