Hey everyone: Countdown is heating up here: Leaving for that hot, dusty, hellhole in only 5 days. So sorry to be leaving the mainland for that island.

(See, Kal and IceeU and IMAQ: you have taught me well!!)

IceeU : will be in touch so we can do a mini-GTG

Cheryl, come on over! This place is just as hellish as I remember! We jumped right on the bandwagon and got onto island time and are doing absolutely nothing but "hanging loose"! Gonna give gmac a call in a few minutes and catch up with her and her DH. btw, it's hot!! I'm already sick of ahi poke and fish tacos and Pono Market chicken and mac/pot salad. But, I will force myself to continue to eat this junk. Pono Market makes killer brownies (I just found that out) and I haven't broken into the manjus yet, but I'm betting they are gooooooooood

Aloha y'all!!!!!!

Did I mention what a hell hole this place still is?!!

Kal, haven't caught Bobby at home yet, but we'll keep trying!

I'mmmm baaacccckk. Rested and relaxed but busy helping other people with graduations and travel plans. Started my trip report haven't finished organizing the pictures and then ...well....you know how it is after being in Kauai. Sigh. I found sand in the grooves of my flip flops from walking on Hanalei beach...shook it out on a white piece of paper...sigh

We counted down! Now we have to start all over and count down again. What a wonderful island. It's so sad to leave. At the airport in Kauai a few tears can't help but stream down the face as the wonderful entertainment sang this song.

Beautiful Kauai

There's an island across the sea
Beautiful Kauai, beautiful Kauai
And it's calling, just calling to me
Beautiful Kauai, beautiful Kauai

In the midst of fern grotto
Mother Nature made her home
'Neath the falls of Wailua
Where lovers often roam

So I'll return to my isles across the sea
Beautiful Kauai, beautiful Kauai
Where my true love is waiting for me
Beautiful Kauai, beautiful Kauai

After you shed those tears are you gonna write a trip report complete with health and welfare updates?

Re-entry is a bitch. Be safe and don't murder anyone.

smooch and welcome home.
