Kauai in 2007

Hey IamQ and AuntieMarie,
My wife and I will be back in Princeville at the Cliffs again starting July 13, 2007 for 2 weeks.

Auntie, Bill, and anyone else who may be there, it is never too early to start talking about a Fodorite GTG at the Happy Talk Lounge. That was great fun last year.

Hope all can make it.

Aloha Rich!

We're going, just not sure when. If I teach summer school, which is the plan, We'll head over there between July 22 - 24 for two weeks. Yippee!

I think we should start counting the days, don't you? Don't forget to bring the extra set of beach lounges so auntie can keep them safe for the K9s!

ya know, bbq, that RichinPA doesn't know what he's missing by going in July, 2007, instead of March/April, 2007!

Think we should tell him or make him wonder?

And, btw, I thought Kauai was such old news now? Isn't there a certain K9 headed elsewhere in 2007?

I'2,

I think he knows, that's why he's going when he's going! He'd be missing more if he went in March/April. Yes?

I want to know when you are gonna start planning your trips to coincide with mine. You know I can't travel in March, yet you go anyway! Jeezus Louizus.

No comment on Maui. You're gonna make me sorry that I let that little cat out of the bag, aren't you?

aloha friend!

Hi All! I've been back east on business for several months and cut off from Fodors. But am home now with retirement two weeks away! Then off to Kauai for 5 weeks! Mahalo once again for all your help when I was planning it all!

RichinPA - we'll be two weeks at the Cliffs. Will be our first time there. Have you stayed there before?

daydreamin,

I was wondering what happened to you! Didn't we try to talk you out of going? You had all that time to change your mind, and you didn't? Good luck and congrats!

Have a great weekend!

Daydreamin, RETIREMENT..........and then Kauai.....oh how I envy you. Yes, we own 3 weeks of timeshare at the Cliffs and have calculated that we have spent about a year's time there since 1987. You'll love it.

iceeu2, no A/C at Cliffs, but we always travel in July and at night, we have to put blankets on to sleep. Very cool, very comforting breezes in most units.

Damn, I am gonna miss that place this year, but hey Scotland and England this year. We have a Tee Time for Carnoustie booked, with caddies and the whole 9 yards.......Hoot Mon!!!

Thank you for topping iceeu2! We're leaving on Thursday the 25th, it's our make up trip for the one we cancelled in March. Instead of the Makai Club at Princeville we got the Cliffs Club at Princeville. Haven't been to either but am excited after reading these posts.

RichinPA, Scotland is a blast. We loved it! Did you get a timeshare there? We lucked out and got a week in Edinburgh. Have a great time.
Aloha!

Lauricelli,
Yes, we got a Timeshare week in Scotland at Duchally Country Estates, near Auchterader. Perthshire area. Near Gleneagles Golf Resort. We have booked a Tee Time at Carnoustie. Looking forward to playing there.

Have a great time on Kauai........still my favorite place.

iamq: Great idea about us storing beach gear for K9s visting Kaua`i northshore. We've got plenny loft storage area -- and the rental fees we'd charge, could supplement our social security income! Nah, just kidding about charging a fee...free storage offered to all fodorites who ask.

RichinPA: looking forward to seeing you and DW again. Happy Talk Lounge, Hanalei Bay Resort, Part 2...wu-huuuuu!

iceeu2: when are you coming back??

jamaltay: any plans to come up to our northshore? Bob and I are always ready to meet 'n greet!

daydreamin & Lauricelli: you'll be just a stone's throw from our house. How 'bout an early Tuesday evening at HBR Happy Talk Lounge for sunset drinks, pupu & music??

Auntie,
we've already been & gone! Rich is planning 2007. We just might be there in July 2007 but not sure yet. My friend is getting married on Oahu so maybe.....

I will let you know next time so we can meet up.

Oh, and the Cliffs with no a/c??!! It was hot when we were there. You have to have all the doors & windows open for a breeze all day and all night. Not much fun when all your windows are next to the parking lot. We were able to switch midweek for an ocean front (cliff) and that helped immensely.Good locale but I can't believe they are still building there. It's too much.
