Kauai

Planning a trip to Kauai. Can someone help me on the must see / must do list for the week? Will be traveling in February (7 nts)and staying at a villa in the Princeville area. Lookong for the best snorkel spot...the best beach...the best luau...best site...best excursion etc. We hate excursions where you go with 100 of your best friends.

Do not miss driving to Waimea Canyon. Breathtaking. On the way back take a sort detour and check out Polihale.

Now my very favorite spot to just ooh and ahh is at the lighthouse.

My friend iamq can help you with the best snorkeling..although I'm not sure you will be able to do his spot in February.

These might help you with snorkeling:

While visiting Princeville, be sure to check out the local pub in Hanalei called The Tahiti Nui (Tues, night had a great local band). But watch out for the one lane roads. I got the stink eye when I made a mistake at the double bridge.

Surf could be an issue during the winter at my favorite North Shore snorkeling spots, but Anini beach is reliably calm. Not the best spot for snorkeling per se, but definitely one of my favorite beaches. Best excursion for us was the Kipu Ranch ATV tour. Definitely take a day to drive to Waimea Canyon and check out Polihale.
