Just a warning to others...we used hotelaccomodations.com to reserve two rooms on our recent vacation in Pennsylvania. The problem came up when we checked into the Comfort Suites in Hershey, PA. The receipt the desk clerk gave me showed a price $26.10 lower than the price I was quoted by hotelaccomodations.com. Stupid us, we thought that was what our credit card was charged. We found out later that that was the price the hotel charged hotelaccomodations.com, and that we weren't supposed to have received that receipt.

The bottom line is that had I called and booked the room myself, I could have gotten that same, lower rate. Of course, hotelaccomodations.com won't refund us the difference...oh well, lesson learned!

Jenna, I am getting into the habit of checking with the hotel web sites first.. sometimes they are offering better rates than the so-called discounters.

Jenna: Maybe because hotelaccomodations.com is bringing the hotel lots of business, they get a preferential rate that you probably wouldn't get. Did you ever think of that?

Also, how do you think these booking agencies make a living? They obviously pay less for the room than they are selling it to you for!

Lets tie them to a chair and make them watch endless hours of Spongbob Square Pants. That'll show them.

Let's make them post something on this site that is incorrectly spelled and make them read all the responses they get.

I think we should fight convention and mispell everything. Who made up spelling anyways. Bring down the Man! Big Brother is watching.
