Just back from Oahu...
Hi,
I just got back from my 8 day trip to Oahu. If you have any questions, let me know.
I stayed at the Waikiki Parc (suggestion from someone from this discussion group).
Brief itineary:
Drove up to North Shore
3 day roberts hawaii pass (circle island tour, pearl harbor, ocean thrills hot island, ali'i kai sunset cruise and magic of polynesia show)
polynesia cultural center
germaines luau
aloha stadium flea market
walked diamond head
hanauma bay
I think that is all.
Let me know if you need any info.

We leave on the 17th for 7 days on Oahu, our second trip. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the Aloha Stadium flea market. Also any good restraunts you would recommend, as we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary while there.
Thanks, Debbie

Debbie,
The Aloha Stadium was GREAT! I was there Thursday to Thursday and the only day we were able to go was the Wednesday before we left. I wished that I had gone that first Saturday. wear tennis shoes and bring a backpack to hold all your goodies. also eat beforehand because there isn't much to eat. it is huge, goes in one circle around the whole stadium parking lot. (also remember where you parked your car because we lost our car and tried 3 other same cars before finding ours).
it is a good place to buy all of your souvenirs and postcards (10 for $1) and mac nuts and cheap t-shirts. my biggest purchase was jewelry. I bargained them down from about $40 to $30. Do not buy from the international marketplace in waikiki. the prices are 3 times as much.
as for dining...the sunset cruise was nice (food was ok, but go for the atmosphere and views).
we went to dukes. LOVED it!!! there was so much food, i was full after the appetizer and salad. each dinner selection comes with a salad bar with bread, so starve thru lunch beforehand! and prices weren't bad at all. it is a fun place and pretty loud, so if you are looking for a romantic place, that wouldn't be it, but go to dukes for a lunch or other non-romantic dinner. (make reservations, our wait would've been 45 minutes at 6:00pm if we didn't have reservations and we wouldn't have been able to sit outside)
the one place that i wished i had gone was sam choys, but they don't have a view. you can try that, or la mer at the halekalani - pretty expensive but the view is great (saw it from the beach).
Hope this helps.
