July 4th in Napa & Sonoma

We are planning a trip to Napa/Sonoma from July 3-7. We plan to split our time between the two but aren't sure which location is better for the 4th. Will a lot of wineries be closed? Are there any special events we should be aware of?

Thanks!!!

I think there is a parade on the 4th in Sonoma.

Try this website:

There are several fireworks displays in the Napa Valley on July 3 and on July 4. There are several small-town parades and a number of celebratory events. Some wineries will be closed but many will be open. Here's another website for info, and you can give the visitor center a call also. http://napavalley.com/visitorsinfo/
