Joshua Tree National Park

Probably high 80s but low humidity, cooling off a lot at night. How many days depends - hiking, rock climbing...?
JTNP is easily visited as a day trip from Palm Springs, so you could hit the park and still be in the pool that evening.

It should be hot but bearable. In the 90s, perhaps. Can't advise on how many days you need for the park. When we're in the area we like to drive through the park very slowly. It is a place to be enjoyed at leisure. Only then does its beautify reveal itself.

We spent a day driving through Joshua Tree National Park and doing a few of the short walks. We were there in February
The highlight was spending the night at the surprise in the desert, Roughley Manor, a beautiful B&B in 29Palms. We stayed in one of their luxurious cabins. Gorgeous manor house, gardens, great breakfast
We were meeting friends in Palm Springs for a wedding and we brought them back to do the 29Palms hike--great hike.
