jfk terminal transfers
Please would you guys try to help me with this query.
We are three people all arriving JFK on separate airlines. 1. arrives 11am terminal 7, 2. arrives 11.30 terminal 7 and 3. arrives terminal 4 at 12.10.
I thought we should all meet at terminal 4 and take a taxi into Manhattan together. How do we get to terminal 4 from 7 and 9 and where would be a good place to meet when we get there? Is there a Starbucks for instance as we will surely be in need of a coffee?
Appreciate any help

It's hard to know who will actually arrive 'first.' The person who is supposed to arrive at 11AM may arrive late, or get stuck rambling around the JFK runways for 45 minutes before reaching a gate (a typical occurence), or have baggage delays.
I think it would be best for you all to meet at terminal 7, since two of you already end up there. Just meet at baggage claim.

I can offer a couple of options.
1. According to the JFK website there is an Au Bon Pain in the arrivals area of T4.
http://panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/ai...retail.html#t4
2. meet at the baggage claim in T4. If you have cell phones and can link up that way then you cna figure out at which bag claim carousel to meet.
3. I've met people at the AirTrain stop. (when continuing on the AirTrain to parking lot). It's the least ambiguous (there's only one place to get off/on at each terminal), but it's also the least comfortable waiting place. If you are taking taxi it doesn't make sense for the last arrival to trek to AirTrain to meet you only to backtrack to get a taxi.

Thanks guys - Bon Pain it is - 2 of us will have flown 11 hours in from Africa to London then another 9 or so on to NY so a coffee will be in order!
I agree that things may well not go to plan re flight times, so we have said to person 3 that if their plane is arriving after 12.30 we will go on without them.
Raymond - you have helped us so much with Asia and NY I kinda expect you to just be the font of all knowledge!
1 more sleep - so excited!
