from domestic to international terminal

Hi,

Is there public transport available to go from the domestic AA terminal to the international Air Egypt terminal?

I only have three hours to make the connection.

Thank you

Probably JFK. We flew Boston-JFK-Cairo. Admittedly, it was 6 years ago, but first leg on AA and 2nd leg on EgyptAir. Shuttle bus from one terminal to another - no big deal. (Except that JFK is creepy late at night)

There is the AirTrain now which replaces the shuttle buses for connections between all the terminals at JFK.

I still think 3 hr. is not sufficient time for an international connection. If your incoming flight is delayed, you may have a problem. Did you buy these tickets together on one itinerary or separately? AA domestic is terminal 9 and Egypt is 4.

And if your arriving flight is on time you may have plenty of time but we still need confirmation of where this is.

Maybe this is about the International Air Egypt terminal at Myrtle Beach airport?

Very funny answers.

Yes, it is JFK.

My main concern is whether to use only carry-on in the AA domestic leg (allows me 40 lbs)to avoid waiting for the luggage and then when I get to the Egypt Air counter to send it as baggage since they only allow 18 lbs for a carry on.

I know there are better schedules, I will never do this again.

Thanks for any suggestions... carry on in AA and baggage in Air Egypt (if I make it to their counter on time)
