Jamestown, N.Y. accomodations

Can anyone suggest a motel in the Jamestown NY area? The Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn in town are booked solid. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you can offer.

There's a little mom & pop motel at the corner of my sister's street in western Jamestown. If you're interested in that type of accomodation, I'll ask her about it--can't remember the name right now. It would certainly be a safe neighborhood.

The mom and pop's are always better, at least in terms of cleanliness and courtesy. They have more at stake. Chains are often run by hotel-groups, hiring their staff at sub-par pay. Go for the independents.

The motel at the corner of my sister's street is the Colony, 716/488-1904. She says there's also a Red Roof, 716/665-3670. There are also B&B's, primarily around Beamish, but those may be booked up already. My father and another sister stayed at the Colony a few years ago and thought the AC wasn't strong enough or working properly, but that may be fixed or a non-issue now.

Suzan,
You could try the Motel 6 in Falconer
716-665-3670 or the Budget Inn in Falconer 716 665-4410. Depending on what you are in town for / and what area you plan to be would determine if maybe some other outlying areas would
work for accomadations. Let me know if I can help you more.
