Jackson (Tetons) aerial tram

Is the aerial tram worth it?

Not sure if there are more than one but I'm thinking of the one out of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village.

We will be driving all through the area & national parks. Should we see it from "the summit" as well?

we took the tram. it was August and it was freezing cold at the top. i was totally unprepared for that! we made a beeline for the warming hut for hot chocolate. my husband hiked all the way back down to the base lodge, which took about two hours. if you go, make sure you're dressed for winter! i would say it's worth it: you can see forever....where are you staying? we stayed at Spring Creek Lodge: very nice!

Yes! The views are awesome, but you are at high altitude, as mentioned, so take a warm jacket!

The Mangy Moose restaurant & bar in Teton Village is a great place. Also for real, live moose, ask directions for the dirt road that runs between Teton Village and Moose Junction. That whole area is moose heaven.

I am so glad someone mentioned The Mangy Moose. Great place! Do not forget to have the chocolate moose (spelling mistake intentional).

Dayle, is the dirt road you mention good enough for little cars (Corolla) ?

Yes, just go slow. It's a bit bumpy in spots and has some loose dirt, but regular cars do it all the time. Be patient, quiet & keep your eyes peeled.
